Dialogue between the Bay of San Francisco (Bay Area), the desert of northern Niger (Tuareg camp), and intimate places. My microphone offers evidence of ubiquity. Mental and cultural gap is served by the media, and driven by the the imminent re-election of President Bush, broadcast on a radio in the desert of Africa, mixed with remembered experiences of living in California with friendly independent personalities (recorded in fall 2004 / spring 2005 - edited 2005). Sounds from Niger were recorded for the documentary film "Ménilmontant – Agadez, d’une école à l’autre", shot in Northern Niger by Luc Federmeyer and his crew.

Dialogue entre la baie de San Francisco (Bay Area), le désert du Nord Niger (région Touareg), et des lieux plus intimes. Sondés en terrain étranger, les sons s’assemblent et se répondent. Mon micro témoigne d’un « duplex » fantasmé. La notion de décalage horaire, mental et culturel, - de différé -, est servie par les media et impulsée par le souvenir des nouvelles du monde et de l’imminente et prévisible réélection du Président Bush, retransmises sur un poste de radio en plein désert africain, mêlé à mes expériences remémorées de vie en Californie auprès de personnalités amies et militantes (enregistrements automne 2004 - Printemps 2005). Les sons du Niger ont été enregistrés pour le film documentaire "Ménilmontant – Agadez, d’une école à l’autre", tourné au Nord du Niger par Luc Federmeyer et son équipe
